This has to be the worst excuse for Chinese food. Went there and ordered the same dishes I order at home in Maryland. We took one bite and ran for the dumpster. I would not recommend this to a starving person who had not had anything to eat for weeks. Do yourself a favor and run do not walk away from this place

So, this looks like your run of the mill shopping center walk-in Chinese joint. But, let me tell you, the food was great! The General Tso's was awesome, the price was totally reasonable and it was just a short little walk from the hotel. Will grab dinner there again next time we visit.

The pizza place next door was full, so we reluctantly decided to try Fire Wok. The setting is not attractive - there are 4, 4-top tables, some Ikea-looking floral canvases on the wall, and behind the counter/cashier you can see them cooking your food. The cashier lady was pleasant enough but neither rude nor especially polite. The menu is American Chinese food. We ordered the pork mai fun and Hunan chicken. Both dishes were prepared correctly and were surprisingly tasty. The dishes were also too large for 2 adults + 2 kids to finish. Drinks are soda bottles or cans - so no refills. I would definitely eat or get takeout from here again. I want to add that this is for the Vilano Beach location in the Publix shopping center, but that doesn't show up on Yelp.

It was a cold, rainy night along the Atlantic coast of Florida... two travelers, now on their 15th day away from home were looking for a place to eat before checking into their hotel. It was getting late. The wife spotted this place, with only one Yelp review to go by. "What the heck, let's give it a shot... it's New Year's Eve, and it's getting late," we said. We got take-out. Back at the hotel, the food turned out to be... hot. Temperature-wise, that is. A decided plus on such a raw day. As for flavor? I'd have to say it was okay, but nothing to write home about. The veggies were a bit overcooked, the garlic sauce was not spicy at all, and the meal seemed to scream for some flavor. Any flavor! Next time in St. Augustine, we'll probably try somewhere else. For the locals, though... I hope this was just an off-night for the cook.

It's a shame really, that this random, small, strip mall Chinese Take-out restaurant was one of the best meals we had while in St. Augustine. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled we happened upon it and gave it a try, but it also says a lot about some of the other overpriced meals we had while staying here. We ordered General Tsaos, bourbon chicken, rice, lo-mien, egg rolls, and Crab Rangoon, and it was all fresh and excellent. We will definitely return if ever in the area.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
